22nd Milestone
Hey there, thanks for stopping by. Augustya here, and yep...you’re reading my very first blog post. Buckle up!
So, just yesterday (24/04/2026), I turned 22. Honestly, this birthday feels weightier than the others. I’m right on the edge, hanging onto the last bit of formal education, but staring out into the big, messy world of work. It’s a weird spot, to be very candid.
I lost my dad last year. Since then, my head’s been noisier than ever. He was an extraordinary person, a mentor, almost a legend in his field, and someone you could always look up to. After he passed, I found myself thinking way more about where I’m coming from and where I’m headed. That’s basically why I’m starting blogging. It’s my way of sorting through all the thoughts, putting them somewhere outside my brain, trying to make sense of my perspectives.
I want this space to be tracking what I’m learning, the industries I’m exploring, plus anything else that piques my curiosity or keeps me sane.

Professionally, I’m obsessed with Venture Capital and Private Equity. I got my first taste of that world when I was 15, just listening in on dad's calls during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown. Those conversations planted the seed. Over the years, the draw only grew stronger. Investing, to me, isn’t just numbers and deals. I am constantly thinking about how capital can be used to build something that lasts, given that personal wealth management is always at the center of my work.
